Though this place is permanently closed, when they were operational they were awesome and they even sponsored a softball/baseball team my dad was on with his co-worker when I was little and I just want to say thank you for that and I still have my dads team shirt. View all feedback.
What Geoff Ebb doesn't like about Thirsty Monk:
Waste of time. When we walked in the door we were bluntly told to sit where ever we want. After that We waited 20 minutes and we had no recognition from the servers, so we left. View all feedback.

Absolutely THE MOST UNDERWHELMED I've ever been by a restaurant. I was sort of embarrassed for our waitress. Nothing on tap. Minimal Ingredients in the kitchen. ALL the staff left at once to go for a cigarette. Is this place closing?
Something is going on with this place. It used to be a genuine gastro pub. Good menu. Decent selection of beers. I met friends there last night. The place was empty. We soon found out why. They had no beer on tap at all. Bottle service only. The size of the menu had also been drastically reduced. We ordered some pesto cheese bread. No pesto. The server did her best and improvised some cheese on toast and bruschetta for us. I ordered some nachos. They arrived both burnt and undercooked. Instead of salsa, they were topped with bruschetta mix. Bizarre. We decided to leave and go elsewhere. When we tried to settle up, we were told they had no debit or credit card capability. It honestly felt like we were in a restaurant teetering on final closure.
I have been a fan of this pub and always spoke highly of it for years. The food and service is always on point. Until last night, on Valentine's Day of all days. Nachos were mediocre, we proceeded to order calamari and our entrees. Long story short, they did not have any steak which was my dates first choice. Her second choice was chicken strips. We were then informed as the calamari arrived they did not have chicken strips. No apologies, no offerings of compensation. So we had to leave to go somewhere else. Very disappointed.
Worst service ever! Asked for chicken burger there was none, asked for veggi burger there was none even though they were on the menu. Settled for a regular burger and it took 40+ minutes they said they ran out of ground beef and had to make them by hand. Worst place ever
