The Pines - Town of Shandaken

Always excellent. One of the best places for hours. The food is very strong. Drinks are excellent. Outdoor Vibe (especially when it music) is fantastic. Take out or hang, it's a must if you're in the area.

Amazing service, delicious food, friendly staff. 5/5 sure. We ordered food to go from here last weekend during the stay nearby. We ordered the carrots, the tomato and coconut soup (a must order), the lamb brand, the large green salad with chicken and the carrot cake. We would definitely order every single thing again. The season is excellent and the menu is more imaginative and thoughtful compared to other spots. You have a large outdoor area with picnic table, so I would suggest going on a beautiful day to hang there and if that wasn't for you the takeout was super fast and everyone wore masks.

In my humble experience there were not enough butter in the crust of lime cake.... Totally scorching, it was probably the best slice of lime cake I ever had. That was the beginning, but actually was the last thing we ate after we got CAME again because the other food was so good. The burger was the best burger I had for a long time. Up among some of the best burgers NYC has to offer and definitely the best ive had upstate. Something so simple, but somehow it gets messed up, the pins are absolutely jammed. My only regret is not coming here sooner, but now I have two things to look forward to!! Post Covid times and another burger of The Pines!!! We will return!!!

Beautiful experience. Amazing place to come after a day of snowboarding, and be served exactly what you want most without you even knowing it. Bonus for the super cozy lounge area with a blanket. Hot toddys are perfect, as is the matzo ball soup. 6/5 stars!
