Most delicious blackened fish sandwich and chicken sandwich! Food was truly the best in Bar Harbor. They have great, fast service, everything was very clean and I really appreciated the staff. View all feedback.
What Nat A doesn't like about Thirsty Whale Tavern:
Little over $30 for a 4oz lobster roll with a cup of soup. Even if it was cheaper it’s still not worth going. The food was average, like what you get at a deli in a grocery store. View all feedback.

One of the few food spots open late in BH. Drinks were good, though one was made very strong (not necessarily a bad thing). On the day we went, the food took a long time b/c of a large party ahead of us, but our server comped part of our bill which was a very nice gesture. Food not really anything to write home about; clam chowder was very tasty.
Long time Bar Harbor resident Kate suggested this place for dinner and it did not disappoint. Thanks Kate
We had a great lunch at Thirsty Whale Tavern. We had just finished biking The Carriage roads in Acadia and were starving. They have Maine lunch IPA on tap and it was delicious also yummy. I had the seafood sampler and it was delicious we also have the lobster bisque and my wife had some pork tacos which are really tasty. We got a table right up front which was great and we would go back in a heartbeat
Some of the best ranch I’ve had in my entire life. The sauces were so good and clearly homemade. The service was quick and friendly. I had the chicken sandwich and it was excellent!
