One of my favourite cake places in Toronto! The service might be a little slow sometimes, but they consistently put out great desserts (especially pistachio ones) and food. On a weekend, the tables fill up with customers enjoying their coffee and patisseries similar to a cafe in France. View all feedback.
Such a cute little patisserie located in a busy lively neighborhood. I immediately loved the interior decor and the vibe emanating from this place. 'old is gold ' couldn 't have been more appropriate to describe the overall setting. La Cigogne offers a wide variety of pastries and cold sandwiches as well as quiches, along coffee/tea and cold beverages. I ordered the baguette with brie, apple and cucumber which was perfect and drank some coffee while gazing at the passerby. The terrace reminded me of the cafe trottoire concept in Paris. Shame that it was too hot to sit outside. I would recommend to anyone to try this place for lunch or for some cake and tea/coffee. You will not regret it. Trust me.Very much recommended
I was thoroughly impressed with this restaurant. I had a strong craving for something sweet and ended up choosing a small Tiramisu cake and a small Africa cake. The Africa cake had hazelnut mousse and a wafer topped with chocolate. The presentation was beautiful and the prices were in line with other similar patisseries I have visited. The tiramisu cake was absolutely delicious, with a harmonious blend of flavors that were subtle and sophisticated, not too sweet or overpoweringly coffee-flavored. I hope my husband enjoys the Africa cake as much as I did mine. Additionally, this place also sells Madeleine cookies, which can be difficult to find elsewhere.
Great Pastries Tarte Flambe. Having been in Strasbourg/Alsace recently, We were drawn here mainly to try their rendition of the Alsatian classic: Tarte Flambe.<br/ It is an almost authentic version, but seemed to lack the homegrown flavor (probably not enough creme)<br/ <br/ The in house made desserts are great, the lemon tart raspberry cheesecake were top notch!

One of my very good friends (with very dependable tastebuds) took us to this charming cafe over the weekend. It's called Patisserie La Cigogne and
