Gamberoni is a neighbourhood Italian restaurant that has existed many years. We have dined there over the years and find it a consistently pleasant place. The service is generally good although we were kept waiting to be seated in this busy place. The food is very Italian, good, and comforting. We would recommend it to all. View all feedback.

Affordable Italian food with delicious sauces. All 8 of us parents and teens loved the food. Fast and attentive service. Near empty on arrival at 6:30. Packed at 7:00 so best to reserve. Friendly, relaxed, kind of noisy when it filled up but we could hear well enough.
From the moment you are greeted at the door by the staff who extend a greeting of 'Buona sera' you are entering an authentic Italian dining experience. The service and food never fail in quality. Authentic Caesar salad, excellent Eggplant Parmigiana, and my favourite---Linguine Gamberoni (with tiger shrimp and scallops in a garlic pesto.) Everything is made to order, and takes time, but it's worth it. There are always daily specials on the chalkboard. Meter parking outside, or Green P parking 5 minute stroll. For a great summertime experience, try to reserve a spot on their small, covered rooftop patio......so quaint!
We arrived for a 7.00 pm reservaiton, restaurants packed to capacity, brskly seated by manager with the charm of a wet sock. Served house wine fast but again with absolutely no interaction other than 'drinks.?" Proceeded to wait 35 minutes to have our order taken at which time we requested the one and only waiter take it, not once did he apologize or explain the complete lack of attention.Every restaurant has busy, frantic and short staffed nights, all of which would be understandable and tolerable if handled with aplomb and a modicum of manners, but sitting in the midst of clear chaos being treated like chicken gizzards made for fraying tempers and mounting aggravation. Seventy minutes after arriving we left - and assuredly will never return. The restaurant is full due to reasonable prices, basic Italian choices ( no pizza) and absolutely no competition - the only cheerful thing in the restaurant are the checked table cloths, the people are like rusty car-parts from the 40's and need serious greasing.
