Service complaints noted with long wait times due to limited staff. Positive notes on the quality of food and vegetarian/vegan options available, alongside mention of good service for families with kids. Unique offerings like Korean tacos praised for flavor and affordability. Overall, the restaurant provides a decent dining experience specializing in the Korean bibimbap dish in a casual setting.
I tried this point with partner and vater that we all loved. delicious options for families with different nutritional restrictions. the peasant was delicious, and all sauces!
So delicious. we loved our dishes and the service was also really good.
One of my favorite restaurants in toronto. there are many vegan options. good selection of tees.
Update 6/12/2014: still love this place. even more so now that they have clearly labeled all their vegan items (and their kimchi is now vegan, too! . a few new items, like their vegan kimchi fries. add the rest to their rice shell yum! my only grip is that extra tofu is over $3 that is far too pricy in my understanding. my original review: a Korean sizzling brown speciality, we were pulled after bi bi bim bap first form their luminous reviews for authentic, healthy Korean foods. In addition, they offer brown rice (without price) along with vegan options such as tofu (rented either fried or steamed or a mixture of 9 different mushrooms. they can also ask their stone bowl creations with their choice of hot sauce, or not so hot sauce (in my case I had the not hot soy garlic sauce, but r had the 'mild hot' acidic gochujang, which I thought was much spicy, thank them very much. because the hot sauces are served on the side, they can add to taste and even ask for another so much. on the side was a few kimchi and picked pears/apple (not very sad. her homemade and simple kimchi is now vegan. all bibimbaps come with a misosuppet and a zimt ingwer dessertdrink. quick service with piping hot eating (you can decide not to have the stone bowl if you don't want it too hot, we were filled with an appy, and 3 course bibimbap in a bit over an hour. updated by the previous review on Sunday, February 24, 2013
I recently ate at this restaurant, and I was disappointed by the experience. If you're looking for a generous portion for the price, this place may not be for you. I left feeling hungry and regretting not getting more value for my money. The Bi Bim Bap was priced at $18 for a portion that was similar to a kids' meal. The rice barely covered the bottom of the stone pot. To feel satisfied, you would need to add extra toppings at $4.99 each.
