Golden House - Toronto

The best food I've had for a long time. The fried will was perfectly cooked and tasteful. I had beef and broccoli, the beef was so tender. I should say the best in the valley. The service was excellent and very friendly. Two thumbs. It was the first time there and will definitely go back.

This is the best Chinese food I've had in the valley. I ordered a roast pork egg foo young combo with fried rice and an egg roll. It was delicious. The first thing I noticed was the gravy. It didn't look like any gravy I've ever had from a Chinese restaurant. Most Chinese restaurant gravy I've had has been mostly just thickened broth. This gravy was peppery, savory, and rich. I am saving the rest to have with biscuits it's so good! The egg foo young patties were huge! They barely fit in the container and they were loaded with delicious roast pork and diced veggies. It wasn't too greasy or soggy at all, which is sometimes a problem with carry out egg foo young. They have delicious fried rice here. The wok has a great flavor to it, and the oil is good and fresh. The egg roll was good too. My husband got the beef with broccoli and he loved the sauce and the veggies were super fresh and perfectly cooked. My son got the sweet and sour chicken and it had a delicious light and crispy breading, which once again is difficult with carry out, but they nailed it! I'm so glad we ordered from New Golden House tonight! I only wish I had ordered more!

I was so excited to see that the restaurant was reopening. It is one of my favorite places for lunch. Everything that I have ordered has been perfect.

Spices weren't what I'm accustomed to in Chinese cooking. Out of tofu. Easy too much sauce on vegis.

I went there once during the winter and ate in. The food was wonderful. The prices were fair and so were the proportions. The only complaint I can offer is that it was very cold in the eating area. Like 10 degrees below a comfortable level. That is the only reason I didn't give a 5 star rating.
