I love this restaurant! I've been coming here since it first opened, and I always order the power breakfast. It's so delicious that I can't bring myself to try anything else. View all feedback.
What a great breakfast spot! Lovely service (from the younger staff at least), fair prices and good diner style brekky food. Loved the Canadian sausage breakfast, yum! Expect a line on the weekend however the wait isn’t too bad. Go on a weekday morning for a relaxed feel and get complimentary coffee or tea with breakfast.
2017/04/22<br/ Mixed results today for lunch at Boom Breakfast. First of all, it was busy, there was a small crowd in inside and outside waiting, and we too had to wait a few minutes for a table. They have a number of comfortable looking booths, but those were all taken. When it was our turn, we were seated at a small two-top in the high traffic centre of the restaurant. SWMBO really doesn't like that type of table. But it was busy, so you take what you can get, right?<br/ <br/ Our server came by shortly after we were seated. After a brief, friendly conversation, she took our order. <br/ <br/ SWMBO chose the Tuna Del Mar Wrap (hold the guac please). Given the name, she thought it was a bit light on the tuna. <br/ <br/ O the other hand, I really liked my Big Smoke, which was eggs benedict, served atop smoked pork loin, caramelized onions, and a half waffle, with a side of Boom Frites. The eggs were runny, the pork was tender and salty, the onions were soft, with a bit of sweetness, and the waffle was fresh and fluffy, with a light crust. Lots of textures and flavours. My mouth was happy. The fries were also pretty good; wedges with a little bit of crunch on the outside, soft on the inside, with a some herbs and seasoning on top. <br/ <br/ SWMBO said it was not her favourite lunch, but I had no complaints about my food or the service.
A friend and I ran all over the St. Clair area looking for a place for brunch that didn't have a line on a Sunday afternoon granted, this was totally impossible. After hearing the waiting times at a number of places, we decided to just stand in line at Boom Breakfast and wait our turn.I loved the wide selection of their menu from the different types of sandwiches, waffles, and other breakfast deliciousness. I ordered the breakfast burrito and it was great; however, I'm not sure why I expected much more from the place it might have been the long line that we waited in but I expected my burrito to be out of this world. It was definitely a good breakfast, and I might be back to try something different from the menu, but it didn't seem like anything special or a dish to rave over. Looks like brunch in Toronto is very popular I'm sure there are plenty better brunch places to try out!
The place is really nice and the patio looks great.. so sad that it was full and i couldn't eat there. Anyways, the inside is also good!!.. i loved the fries that came with the food. I ordered Benedict eggs and it was good although the sauce was kind of plain.. also, it took some time to get our meals, i mean more than what i expected for a brunch
BOOM is BEST!. I recently moved to London, UK , but every time I return home to Toronto for a visit, the first place I head to is Boom on St. Clair! I have yet to be disappointed by their Eggs Florentine and their granola french toast is a lovely brunch treat! It is also very family friendly, with high chairs or boosters for kids which is always great when I bring my little nieces with me for breakfast.
