When opting for Toowoomba's best Thai food there are now TWO outlets to choose from! I would usually make the trek to South Toowoomba for Southtown Thai but now their other shop has opened in Margaret Street in Toowoomba City.Great little restaurant with traditional decor we decided to have takeaway. The menu is extensive but I have my favourites and tonight it didn't disappoint.Spring rolls - great crispy and serve o... What Grazia Battaglia doesn't like about Thai Royal:
Cheap lunch dishes beef left on my plate lots of grisly bits and not tender chicken was Brest and suited for slow cooking I would pay more for the meal for a better cut of meat service good View all feedback.
Day freeze to eat asian. happy feeling felt like that. it was searched for the closest thai and this comes up. so glad we left. pad thai was a little sweeter than I would have wished, but it was a big part. not too much nudge, but many other bits. tofu, pork/chicken, garnel, egg, veges. it was like a small mountain of stir fry tasty. hubby had the very cheap lunch special $10.50) black liquor and asked for thai hot. it was not as spicy as he liked it, but we only added more chili. This assessment is mainly based on the quality of food. it is beautiful and tastes like most other Thai places in toowoomba. I had better in parramatta and brisbane, but I see how it appeals to the local in toowoomba. the personal was friendly and well thought that we came in a group of 10 people, they got a few commands wrong, but quickly corrected. their menu is extensive and they are also quite courteous. it is one of those places that I would come back to eat socially, only not by my own proposal.
The service was very good and the selection is typical of a Thai restaurant. sad to say, although eating, although tasty was a little bland and not what one would expect from Thai cuisine strong aromas with subtle hauch of lemongrass and crumbs.
I had only taken out of Thai royal, but each time they found it to be fast and provide excellent service. the food was also delicious. I love that they are open late in every night, so I have a take dinner option except almost food.
Fish cakes were not fully cooked and were still a bit hard and rubbery. Pad Thai was lacking authentic flavour, and had too many bean sprout. Would by recommend.
