We dropped in on a lovely Sunday drive. The lady who helped us was charming and friendly. Whilst we didn't stay for food and I don't drink the atmosphere was something that would get us in the car for another visit. View all feedback.
What Elbert Beer doesn't like about McIvor Estate Cellar Door:
We bought wines from McIvor Estate that were already expired when they arrived (certain wines have a limited drinkability period). All of the wines we purchased were completely undrinkable. We have been trying to get a refund since September. Do not purchase from this winery, as they knowingly sell outdated stock. They are quick to take your money but provide no resolution if any issues arise. View all feedback.

The hosts were willing to open up during the week for a private event. The setting was lovely, situated under cover in front of the Cellar Door. The food, including antipasto, salads, pizzas, and desserts, was delicious and served at a relaxed pace. The wines were also excellent, leading to several purchases being made. While beer was not available, the hosts were able to request a license for a special occasion for an extra cost. Cynthia and Gary, the hosts, were generous with their time and the food. Overall, it was a very enjoyable afternoon for everyone.
My experience at McIvor Estate Cellar Door was absolutely delightful. Cynthia was an excellent host, and meeting Gary and Lucy added to the joy of the visit. The wines surpassed all expectations, and we enjoyed every selection. I can't wait to visit again soon. Thank you for a wonderful afternoon!
Cynthia took care of us for the whole wine tour. She was lovely, friendly and fabulous. You know you are being looked after very well when the host calls you by name and has a genuine conversation with you. For someone who doesn’t drink wine, she taught me what to pair it with etc and can gladly say the wine she suggested I try, I actually liked and bought. The wines they make are delicious! Would definitely recommend to pop over to McIvor Estate as your wine tasting experience will be accompanied by a knowledgeable, funny and kind host! Will definitely come back to taste their food as it was Good Friday and food service was not available for the day.
I cant remember the lovely ladies name who looked after us, but she was friendly, hospitable and knowledgeable . They have several Italian grape varieties such as Barbera, Sangiovese etc, and we felt the quality and price of the wines was very good. Working our way through the case we picked up that day!
