Contribute FeedbackReviews for a local café highlighted a decline in quality and service. Customers were disappointed with poor presentation, deteriorating coffee quality, slow service, and lack of menu options for specific dietary requirements. Despite some positive comments on staff friendliness and ambiance, overall feedback emphasized the need for improvements in cleanliness, food quality, and customer service. Suggestions were made to address issues such as stained crockery, unkempt staff, and limited menu offerings for vegans and those with dietary restrictions. Potential customers were advised to explore alternatives for a more satisfying dining experience.
Mid-afternoon visit, not too busy but i waited too ling for my toasted sandwich. Service was friendly and apologetic. Table wasn’t clean. Toasty was too delicious!
We called in for coffee and cakes. It's a great place to relax and we enjoyed our refreshments, there's a good selection to choose from.
Came in today for lunch at 13:30. The food was gorgeous as always, and the drinks were nothing short of that. All staff should be proud of their hard work and attentive service, always taking the extra steps to make each guest feel individually accommodated for.
Fast service, comfy seats, great coffee and butterscotch iced latte. The four cheese toastie ‘side’ of avocado always delicious.
ATTENTION to DETAIL. I have used Finch house for years but in the last few months it is in rapid decline. Crockery is stained, or not cleaned properly, also cutlery sometimes has residual food stuck to it. Order a mug of tea and it’s never full, the same with coffee too much froth. We eat with our eyes first but the presentation of food is severely lacking. I don’t want a ‘greasy spoon’ cafe I want things presented professionally as expected and paid for. Don’t put inexperienced staff on the important functions, the supervisor should oversee everything. Standards overall are poor, fabric seats are filthy, staff look unkempt and no one wears a name badge anymore, male staff don’t engage with customers. Brighten and smarten them up not with black T-shirts try a bright coloured apron so customers know who the staff are. It’s not difficult to raise and maintain good standards so, come on seriously wake up to what regulars say and want or lose us.
