Visited this restaurant on a recent trip to the area. The young chef is superb and delivers excellent food full of fresh local ingredients. The Chicken stuffed with Chaya is masterful and the ceviche sublime. Waiters are extremely professional and attentive. The surroundings are beautiful. View all feedback.
Many local dishes on the menu. way better than any other food they will get at marriott. 24 hours later and no problems with digestion!

Great food , great service and very nice atmosphere. Definitely we will come back !!! highly recommended
After a day of touring Izamal and a drive back into Merida looking for a restaurant, we decided instead to return to San Antonio Millet (where we are staying at the wonderful Hacienda of that name). Not having made plans for dinner at "our place" ("our little Norman castle away from home"), we checked out trip advisor for any recommended restaurants in nearby Tixkokob. AND LUCKED OUT!Restaurant San Jose is actually on the road between Tixkokob and Tecanto and is the restaurant of the gorgeous Hacienda San Jose. NOTE: THE MAP LINK HERE PROVIDES A WRONG LOCATION; IT IS NOT ON THE DIAGONAL ROAD OUT OF TOWN TOWARD AKE BUT HAS A WELL POSTED SIGN AT KM 30 ON THE TIXKOKOB-TECANTO CARETERRA). We called ahead of time to make sure they were serving dinner and were immediately impressed with the friendly greetings "We have the fire waiting for you!" The staff could not have been nicer when we arrived and were treated to one of the best Yucateco meals you are likely to find. The lime soup, grouper and the pork pilbil were each extremely well prepared. Too bad we had no room for the very inviting desserts. Dinner on the terrace with the beautiful trees, warm service, quiet atmosphere with beautiful music is a treat. If you are staying in the area or are looking for a great place to dine on your way back to Merida from Chichen Itza, the trivial detour is worth it. This is one of the great dining experiences we have had in several years traveling in Mexico. My only hesitation in this rave review is that it will deprive you of discovering just how first rate a dining experience this is.One added thank you and preview of the kind of service you will receive. We arrived in short sleeve shirts and the night air was cold. The staff brought towels to warm us up and offered to move our table next to the fire pit. The perfect place for a reposado, stroll around the exquisite grounds and a great, great meal.Estupendo!
