La Tenuta Di Rocca Bruna - TIVOLI

Around the corner a 5 minute walk from Villa Adriano is this glorious restaurant, from the moment you come upon it after passing these beautiful manicured ivy gates you think oh my it is way too fancy and too expensive to eat here. Wonderously they are a very casual family and welcome you like a guest in their elegant home. It is a very elegant restaurant, but the menu is authentic rustic Italian, with all home-made pastas, pizzas and hearty main dishes and sides. The food is one of the best meals ever eaten in Italy, we had home-made pasta with raddichio, bacon and almond pesto, nothing ever tasted like this, and the pizzas are as good if not better than Napoli. The owners speak great English and the service is very attentive and formal, but you can wear jeans as the many patrons do. The wine is awesome and the best is the prices are totoally reasonable, less than Tivoli areas and not touristy at all. You will find this a very special place to enjoy an excellent meal.

By classy I don 't mean intimidating. I went in jeans and a sweater and felt right at home. It 's at the end of a narrow road, a most unlikely location for a really nice restaurant. Real roses on the table, linen tablecloth, the works. They pour a glass of champagne as you are seated. The menu is all in Italian and when they noticed us struggling with it, they sent over an English speaking person to explain. The food was very good, the wine great. We had two antipasti, a main course of pasta with meat (unsure of the source), desert, wine and an after dinner drink for 58 euros.

Abbiamo trascorso tre notti ad agosto in questa splendida struttura, la camera era spaziosa e dotata di tutti i comfort, il bagno era anche molto grande con una doccia fantastica. Anche se avevamo prenotato solo la colazione, abbiamo deciso di cenare nel bel ristorante della struttura, e siamo rimasti molto soddisfatti. Gli antipasti erano ottimi, con carne, formaggi, pizza e fritti (specialmente i fiori di zucca). Il personale era molto gentile e disponibile, pronto a soddisfare ogni nostra richiesta.

Bellissimo ristorante a due passi da Villa Adriana. Camere eleganti e un ampio spazio esterno fresco. Piatti deliziosi. Ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo.

Piatti originali e deliziosi, l'unico difetto è il servizio estremamente lento.
