Vasantha Bhavan Restaurant

For many years, my groups to India had their first thali at Vasant Bhavan. Because the thali was so delicious (we always got the special thali), my travelers loved South Indian food. Vasant Bhavan has one of the best thalis in Tamil Nadu. And the...service is exceptional. My travelers always commented on the friendly and efficient service at Vasant Bhavan. If you are in Tiruchirappali anywhere near the Rock Fort, you must stop in for the thali at Vasant Bhavan (a bonus is that it is one of the only AC restaurants in the area). You will be happy!!

We stopped here for lunch. Vegetarian lunch. The spread was awesome. We also tried the sweet lime juice. And the Chinese noodles. But u should not miss out on the traditional sweet's. So far I could say it's the best.

Vasantha Bhavan is one of the few chains which has retained the qyuality and taste of food for a Long time now. This branch is in Chatram Bus stand area and hence is difficult in Terms of finding a parking nearby. Also the place is...always crowded and extremely crowded during Peak hours. The worst part is that they don't have air-condition halls. Ambience is kind of ok. But hey, we are here to enjoy our meal and as long as the Quality of the meal served is satisfying your taste buds, everything else should be more or less ok. The best part is that the Service guys are more than helpful towards your requests or demands.

This hotel is right in the Chatram route bus stand on the Trichi-Karur highway. The food is very tasty and their menu is endless. Their Veg Kothu Parotta is good, the waiter was friendly to accommodate my request to give Vadacurry with Dosa. Ambiance is...decent. The place might get hot during afternoons as there is no air conditioning. Car Parking is difficult as this is in the bus stand. Overall, it is good taste and value for money.
