the times we visit the tiger port with my husband we have lunch there, the attention is good, very quickly to bring the dishes. They make you feel like at home and the price is very good. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about La Isla Parrilla:
average quality food. normal portions. I ordered a red meat milanesa. it was raw. I was exchanged for one chicken. I couldn't eat the lettuce. I'm not coming back. View all feedback.
6/1/18 We three middle-aged Brits were with a local BA friend and immersed in Tigre for a coffee and beer after one day before heading back to BA on the coast train. We came about 5:30 a.m. on a Sunday to a pretty busy place with a mixture of people eating and snacks. We ordered a Quilmes beer (80 for 330ml), water (55), black coffee (49) and a cafe con leche with two croissants (85). They arrived very quickly and were appreciated even though the pastries were a bit dry and needed coffee to wash them. The bill was ordered and the coffee deal had up to 90. Maybe this is inflation today. We left a tenth tip. Overall, the place meets reasonable prices.
Although the location is good and the waiters are friendly, the food in this restaurant is not good. When we visited, half of the menu was not available. And what we ordered was not great. The “parrillada” barbecue, which was supposed to come on a “Parilla” with coals, was instead cold and simply sitting on a cold “parrilla” The prices we paid for were the same as a top quality in the capital. So no. Not good
We eat here the last day of our trip to Argentina. What a perfect despedido, although we did not actually find this place - it chose us as one of the servers crossed the road to give us a flyer. A surprise about La Isla is that all servers (at least when we were there) were women - somewhat rare seen in restaurants in Argentina. Although our server was not super friendly, it was excellent. The food was great- we wanted to put on the table for the parrilla, as we saw other diners eat, but we didn't have the appetite, so my husband had a burger, I had provoleta and a salad, and our son had the chicken and fries from the children's menu. It was a real chicken breast, cut, baked and fried... not chicken fingers as on children's menus in the USA. The bread on the burger was a huge soft role, my provoleta had jam, tomatoes and arugula. I loved the aesthetic details of the restaurant... a huge chalkboard with a handwritten sign used as decor, weathered furniture used as accents, and my favourite: the large enamel merchandise cup with painted flowers that served the bread. Oh- Desserts listed on a chalkboard on the wall sounded AMAZING, but we were too busy trying. I have this place and wish it were in my own NYC neighborhood!
This place is one of the few in the area, it has great Wi-Fi, but also it is not too good... the menu is very short and the panels are not above average. if you are looking for an amazing experience, I would not recommend it
We ate 4 different dishes, all richy. very good location and attention. we all loved the decoration too!
