Sal Y Pimienta - Tías

Nice restaurant overlooking the harbour of Puerto del Carmen. The calamares were crispy and tender. The main dish (chicken skewer) was cold but quite nice when it came back re-heated.

Would be a 5 if the service wasn’t awful. We stopped by for an afternoon drink/light bite after who seemed like the owner invited us to take a seat in the shade. Our orders were taken quickly, however especially given how quiet it was, took ages, for some slices of cheese and a fruit salad (which is on the menu as fresher fruit, but is very clearly from a tin, very mushy and sour . We also asked for water, which was noted but after 10+ minutes we assumed we wouldn’t be receiving it, so asked again to a different waiter, to the same result. Then for a third time asked the first waiter when I catch him not acting like he was best friends with everyone but our table (guess we weren’t over 60 is why he didn’t like us? if we could have the water we asked for twice, to which he had the cheek to respond “You only asked me once”. The food and drinks were great but the service was so poor it left an incredibly sour taste in our mouth.

Servicio inmejorable y en general bien, excepto si pides paella q te la venden como casera y son de paella d’or o similar pero vamos q son congeladas pero de largo. El resto de la comida bien.

Trato genial Independientemente de que las raciones eran generosas y de buena calidad, el trato del personal fue tan cercano y bueno que se merecen un 11 sobre 10

Comida muy regulera. Pedimos pizzas, la pizza boloñesa estaba cargada pero de sabor regular y con hojas de laurel incluida. La de jamón y champiñones bien de sabor pero la masa no sabía a nada. El postre de sabor regular pero mucho bizcocho. En cuanto al servicio muy bien. Al finalizar, nos invitaron a un chupito. Cabe decir, que después nos cobraron un 7% más de lo que ponía en la carta.
