We've been coming here for years, primarily for their steamed rolls, and we even buy them frozen to enjoy at home later. The new owners have ties to the previous ones, so I can confidently say that everything is still the same in all aspects. The service remains warm and friendly. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Fook Kee:
It seems that the restaurant has been sold! The kitchen staff appears to be new and the personal touch is different. The famous chicken and glutinous rice no longer tastes the same; the fillings are quite different from what the old owners offered. What a shame! View all feedback.
Consistently good eating in authentic mak set in the heart of dornlie. used to eat the small bungalows regularly when I eat meat and they were always such a delicious handful comfort. de fu goreng and siu mai must also be tried. I don't eat so often there, but I wanted to leave an evaluation to recommend this brilliant little kitchen (also 10/10 for the charming, seemingly-grumpy onkel, who always asks me how many small rolls I want when I approach. he's actually a top-load, not being set off from his abruptness!
This is the place to go if after some steamed buns or bao. So far, I have tried out all their steamed buns and always so good. My personal favourite are the big bun and red bean paste buns. We tried their sticky rice which taste okay.
The chai tow koay was good. Char siew bao and lor mai kai were mediocre. Not much of a service; it's a food court after all. Probably will try other baos
Char tow kway was delicious and authentic. The big pork bun was fluffy and had a good ratio of skin to filling. The filling was juicy and tender. The staff were happy to accommodate my request of having less oil and salt in the char tow kway. Will be back definitely!
Best raddish cake in Perth, sticky rice is never a let down. Very affordable and always so satisfied with their food. Simple authentic Singaporean Malaysian dish.
