We stopped here by accident and had a most wonderful meal. Met by 2 of the most lovely sheepdogs who kept coming to see we were ok or fetched their owners if the breeze blew something over. We asked for the local plat. We had curd cheese in its strainer and a cheeseboard full of local Plateau de Glieres cheese. We weren't drinking but our French fellow diners insisted we have some of their vin rouge to have with a most menacing goats cheese. All finished off with floating islands desert and blueberry pie. This was so laid back, relaxed and unexpected.
This is a very special place on the Plateau Des Glieres. from the sunny Terrance you have an amazing view of this very historic Plateau. If you love cross county skiing or Racket walking.. this is the place for you. Trails well looked after and plenty of them In spring there is the wild flower and plant trail visiting the Maison de Patrimonies and the Monument to the Men and women who fought on the Glieres in 1942 Their motto. To live Free or Die. A very moving and beautiful place to enjoy.
