I love this place! Their catfish filets are absolutely delicious!! Melts in your mouth!! Cheese grits, yes please! Smooth abd seasoned well!! I always leave full, their coleslaw is sweet but it is tasty, and I'm not usually a fan of sweet slaw... Bringing my family when they come visit View all feedback.
What Nedra Jenkins doesn't like about Davids Catfish House:
We visited David Catfish House with high hopes for a great meal, but our experience was quite disappointing. Upon arrival, no one greeted us or guided us to a table. Eventually, a younger staff member told us we could sit somewhere, so we chose a spot against the wall in a separate room. However, an older employee, possibly the owner, came over and said we couldn't sit there and that everyone needed to be in the same... View all feedback.
This is a wonderful local restaurant. We were traveling back home from Tuscaloosa and there?s not too many options. Thankfully, we happened across this place when searching for somewhere to eat that was NOT a fast food chain. Our waitress was delightful and we enjoyed the local charm. Everything hit the spot. Those cheese grits are amazing and you should try them. Super creamy and the right degree of cheesy. The sweet tea is southern perfection. Glad to know this is a great place to stop on future journeys.

I was here pretty early on Saturday and the place was rambled. Many people eat in and with the drive thru. I sat immediately and appreciated the fast service. The catfish as amazing as expected. I would definitely recommend this place if you like your southern catfish.
Great food and first-class service. Fast on Sunday afternoon. Drinks and hot food were fast on the table. Drinking glasses were never empty. Had the hurricane shrimp poboy. It was crowded and taste was excellent! Also the Cole loved Slav. Friends were good too.
The three of us visited David's Catfish House in Thomasville, Alabama on a Wednesday afternoon in early October. We were after the lunch rush and before the supper crowd, yet the food was fresh and hot. We all ordered catfish plates with one ordering AYCE fillets. Virgie, the only server on duty was quick, polite and efficient. She kept the AYCE coming my way until I finally waved her off. She was excellent and made our visit even better.
