Visit here regularly. I never bother reviewing big chains, but this shop has a real local feel to it. Hayley the manager is first class and has lots of coffee knowledge to share. Also, the branch participate in programmes to get disadvantaged people back to...work well worth a mention. A pleasure to visit. View all feedback.
What ted87 doesn't like about Costa Coffee:
We visited this restaurant today and were informed that it is a government requirement to show identification for track and trace purposes. Since we did not have smartphones, the details were written on a scrap of paper. In comparison, other customers had their information recorded on their till receipts and were treated politely. Very disappointed by the service. the personal was uninterested and lethargic. halfway by being served, the server began to put the next customer questions to their order, which was very rude. we ordered only 4 items, 2 coffees and 2 foods, but had to ask twice...for the cake we had ordered. no excuse. will be a very long time before we come back.
As everything else in this beautiful part of the world costa returns...big service and of course great coffee!
I visit often as cowbridge is a pleasant place to visit, have a Americano a round of toast with marmalade, maybe a muffin if later in the day. I do feel of late the management of the place as gone down. I’ve been witness to...some staff suffering unpleasant behaviour and abuse. School children using the place just for a chat not for custom, they are very loud with bad language. When politely asked to leave unless they were buying beverages, not to use bad language and be mindful of other paying customers. The abuse was not nice to witness on this very pleasant member of staff I have come to see regular, on my visits. I did wonder where was the manager. Tables are not cleared as quickly these days either, even if lots of empty tables some people get shirty the one they want is not clear, as they like to sit to be seen in the window. The place is very tired and even when clean/tidy doesn’t look it.. hence only the 3.. coffee and staff service makes my visit.

Visited on Saturday, 14 november 2020. went to the coffee shop alone to see if there were any tables for me, woman and daughter free. was incubated by a worker to get out of the load. no registration of the process. to sit on a table, or sign to wait outside to sit. very rude behavior of this employee without saying that we have gone elsewhere. understand the difficult times, but there is no need to treat customers like that.
