Probably my favorite special occasion restaurant in Houston. Never had a bad dish and the service is top notch. Special shout out to Khadija and Cedric both made sure we were well taken care of and even gave us a super knowledgeable tour of the gorgeous space. View all feedback.
What Samir Behara doesn't like about Musaafer:
Nice Indian restaurant in the Galleria area. The food was good, but expensive. The ambience was great and the servers put an effort to explain the food they are serving. I didn’t like the fact that there was no rice offered with the veg/ non-veg entrees. They also apply a forced 20% gratuity service charge on the bill amount and still ask for more tip with the final bill. Leaving a 3 star review because of the above... View all feedback.

A perfect fine dine experience! Food was fancy and dessert was fancier. Lip smacking dishes with interesting cocktails. I loved the branding on the ice cubes.
Musaafer is a highlight of the Houston food scene with a gorgeously developed concept of food from around the Indian subcontinent. The decor, ambiance, and glitter of the restaurant cannot be understated. Everywhere you look, there's something special to observe. The service was also outstanding despite a crowded room and lots of needs. The wait staff are consummate professionals and extremely efficient. The food is good but not quite the best. Many of the dishes fall short or are too ambitious. There are a few must try dishes that other diners have written about in these reviews Stick to those when you order and you should be fine. We were there for a private event with an extremely curated menu so we did not have that option. The lamb and the kheer were the two highlights of the meal with the lychee ceviche coming in very close. The butter chicken experience was confusing, the goan fish curry was very good but the Chilean sea bass that was used left something lacking. (For the best flavored food in a similar gorgeous decor and high profile Indian restaurant, I would head north to the woodlands in the waterway.)With all of this sad, absolutely we will keep coming back because musaafer stands in a category of its own as a place where we celebrate milestones as long as we know what our favorite dishes are.

Wonderful dining experience at a beautiful uniquely designed restaurant. Enjoyed the food as well as the atmosphere. Service quality was top notch as well. Thanks to Musaafer for inspiring people to create a traditional Indian experience for us here in the heart of Houston. We will definetely be back for more oysters and shrimp dish. Cheers!
