We went on a Saturday night it was a busy night and we had a party of 8. The service was great and our waiter made us feel like we were the only ones in the restaurant. The chef stopped by to check on us and share the story of the restaurant. The food was excellent from the appetizers, the chicken livers and spinach dip are a must, to the entrees of pork chops, eggplant stack, and pasta, everything was full of flavor... View all feedback.
What Necole Weaver doesn't like about Southern Charm Bistreaux:
My short ribs were not tender, fatty and bitter in taste. All the appetizers we had were good and the service was excellent. The reason for only 2 stars is because I was looking forward to the short ribs and craw-cornbread dressing and both disappointed me. View all feedback.
In terms of pricing, the appetizers felt a bit pricey, but the entrees and salads were reasonably priced. My friend ordered the mashed potatoes, bayou rolls, and BBQ shrimp. She enjoyed everything except for the sausage in the bayou rolls, which she felt didn’t complement the other items well. Additionally, we both found the sauce for the shrimp to be quite salty. My nephew and I ordered the magnolia mushroom, beef and bib salad, and a chicken sandwich. The sauce for the magnolia mushroom was phenomenal and would make a great pasta sauce; however, I was disappointed to find there were no shrimp in the dish, which was mentioned on the menu. The beef and bib salad was tasty, but it consisted entirely of whole lettuce leaves. It took a while to slice up the lettuce before I could start enjoying it. On the other hand, the chicken sandwich was excellent—perfectly seasoned and the aioli sauce was magnificent. Overall, I would definitely return and try more items. I would recommend Southern Charm Bistreaux Bar to others looking for a nice dining experience.
My short ribs were tough, greasy, and had a bitter flavor. However, all the appetizers we tried were enjoyable, and the service was outstanding. I’m giving it only 2 stars because I was really looking forward to the short ribs and the craw-cornbread dressing, but both were disappointing.
The food was exceptional—from the appetizers to the entrees. I highly recommend the chicken livers and spinach dip as they were absolutely delicious. For our main courses, we enjoyed the pork chops, eggplant stack, and pasta, all of which were bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. We also indulged in dessert, which was delightful. We'll definitely be back! I give it four stars, mainly because the bar selection could use some expansion and upgrades—a small detail but essential for earning that fifth star. Thank you, Southern Charm, for a wonderful evening!
This restaurant is fantastic! My neighbor, who is also the owner, invited us over a while ago, and we finally decided to give it a try. I honestly regret not coming sooner. The atmosphere and service are exceptional. I ordered the 14 oz. cowboy rib-eye cooked medium rare, and it was perfectly seasoned and cooked. Our food arrived within 10-12 minutes after we placed our order. Our server, Robert, was very friendly and checked on us multiple times throughout our meal. The prices are quite reasonable considering the high quality of both the food and service. I highly recommend this place and will definitely return. There are so many other great menu items I’m eager to try!
The food was incredibly flavorful and served in just the right portion size—not too big and not too small. I left feeling satisfied without any discomfort. The atmosphere was relaxed and pleasant. My wife ordered the chicken sandwich, which was wonderfully tender and delicious. The chicken was perfectly cooked, neither over-fried nor undercooked. We definitely plan to return!
