First meal of the day. I have a sashimi squid eel and yellow dick. There is a glass of icy green tea and a squid salad. The green tea was not too strong and very drinkable. You seem to do many togo orders. The prices are pretty good. Wasabi always hit me pretty hard and that wasn't an exeption. The r8ce scarf looks very good. I do recommend View all feedback.
What Odessa Quitzon doesn't like about Cafe Zen:
Went to lunch today and got myself the rock and roll, a couple orders of tuna, yellowtail and the noodle salad. The noodle salad was just OK compared to other places like Mikimoto and Unagi &Sushi. I have been coming to this restaurant for years! I love the noodle salad, Hawaiian rolls, gyoza, and many other dishes on their menu.
The best sushi can be found on the west bank, east bank, and north shore! The staff is great and friendly, and the prices are moderate. A must-try spot for sushi lovers!
I recently ordered sushi and noticed a hint of sweetness, which I later realized was sugar. I was disappointed, as I have given up sugar and am sensitive to its taste in food. It seems that most sushi restaurants add sugar to their rice, but I believe there should be a sugar-free option for people like myself. Sugar masks the savory flavors in sushi, and I prefer a more natural taste.
Very delicious sushi and fast service. I'm never disappointed when I order sushi from here. Great prices as well.
I have to say this is by far the best sushi place on the Westbank if not in the New Orleans area! I am never disappointed when I either go to Cafe Zen to eat or picking up!
