This is a great place to get quick, fresh sushi (made in store)! It's never out of date and so popular with the locals it will sell out by end of day. I like to top it off with something cool and refreshing from Starbucks (you can pay for store items at the counter for added convenience.) With seating here it's an easy place to have a quick and tasty lunch. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Starbucks Canada:
I walked to the Safeway from the Terrace Inn where my meetings were taking place. I had a prepackaged serving of sushi the first day and it was fine, but when I went back the next day, I had exactly the same thing, and it was awful. Obviously a day or two old which just doesn't work for sushi. View all feedback.
Called to see if my daughter left her backpack, which had her favorite stuffed bunny in it here, and was rudely cut off with no, sorry, bye, and hung up on.

Middle of the road grocery store with a small selection of organic items, a good deli section, a large variety of flowers and plants. There is often a long wait at the check-out, but overall cashiers are very helpful and friendly. It's good to check sales prices as they are not often showing up on the bill and you pay the full price instead - so check before you leave the store.
Safeway is one of three grocery stores in Terrace. All the grocery stores are busy and have line-ups. I went in yesterday, a Monday, did some shopping and went to the checkout. I was the seventh person in line meaning I had a ten minute wait for my turn. It was the only checkout open out of, I think seven. With most people using debit cards now, add another thirty seconds to a minute for each transaction and yes, the waits are ridiculous. When I worked for Safeway in another town, the rule was, once a third person was waiting in your line, call for another cashier. Terrace, Store 126 doesn't seem to have ever understood this concept. Most of the staff is nice enough but some of the long termers are grumpy and never smile. This would explain those times I used to look over their mystery shopper scores for the entire chain of stores, that the BC division was consistently the lowest rated with Terrace being near the bottom. You don't see the management very often like you do in other stores and if you don't see them, they are obviously out of sight and indifferent to the poor service being offered. I still shop there on occasion but I shop for the specials and frequent the other stores in town. Safeway is generally expensive but if you watch the sale items, you aren't paying more than necessary. The deli department could be good but they don't have a great selection of items in their sliced meat case. They also pre-slice a lot of hams and turkey but I won't buy those as they tend to dry out a bit before being sold making them less palatable. I always ask for fresh sliced.
