I love Cafe Angelique. It is the best cafe’ in the area. I love their coffee, the super healthy beet juice, and their gluten free desserts are just anmazing! Only place where you can enjoy gluten free desserts that taste normal, can’t tell they are gluten free. You are lucky enough to speak to the owners, you will find they are so genuinely interested in giving the best to their customers. I had the pleasure to speak... View all feedback.
What Juan Family doesn't like about Cafe Angelique:
Went here because it looked like a nice place for breakfast but there was no signs as to where to go to get a table, so we go inside and buy croissants and coffee at the coffee bar, then try to get a table we're told because we bought food and coffee at the bar, and can not get a table, because it's for table service. First, I can't really rate the food, because the baked goods were obviously from an outsourced baker... View all feedback.
Lovely spot that is kid friendly, with decent prices. I loved the turkey and swiss croissant sd well as the ricotta toast. Skip the slushy mint lemonade, doesn't have much taste. Staff are super friendly! Try it out!
I stopped in right before closing to grab a drink before I hit the road back to the airport and this spot definitely delivered. I had a mint lemonade and it was super refreshing and the spot was super cool. Despite being super close to closing, the staff was super nice.
I used to be a regular customer going there 3x a week for the past 1 year ordering their granola bowl... the staff has always been responsive... I always needed a small mustard cup of extra granola... and the staff had no problem with that, and I always tipped well... only recently, they charged me an extra $2 for that! Now, put it into perspective... I spent $90 a week at this place... you would think a small cup of extra granola is no big deal... (we know the cost of this is nothing)... but to nickel and dime me with this? for an extra $2, you lost my business... this cafe also charges $2 for hot water... hmmm... no one ever charges for this! so I get it.. you run a business... but really!??? $2???? I never see the owners, the staff would run if they found better jobs, and since their long-time manager left, many regular customers have left for other nearby cafes for the better energy... and vibe... they also say they open at 7 am... but that is when the staff is using bleach (not healthy) to clean the floors... take your $2... and lose your $90 per week...
Terrible service. We waited one hour for our food. When we asked the server why we had been waiting so long she told us our food had been given to another table. She said she could have the kitchen make more if we didn’t care to wait. We were charged and received no apology.
A Tenafly icon that is worth visiting just to see its unique location: an old train station. I consider myself very lucky because of living quite close to this beautiful café! They have a spacious outdoor seating in the summer. I love the food -lunch specials and gluten free bakes are delicious- the coffee, and the service. The owner is super kind and appreciative. Also, I appreciate the patience of the personnel, who are not offended by my horrible Spanish and let me practice it with them. Thanks for the hospitality!
