Visited this establishment after visiting Chichen Itza with a tour guide who wanted to give us a more authentic barbeque experience. We ate everything on the plate it was excellent food including different types of chorizo! My teenage daughters and younger sons chowed down as well-everyone liked it. View all feedback.
Family stopped for lunch mid afternoon on a weekday, we were the only patrons. We got the half sized sampler platter and it was great, the sausages in particular were a highlight. Would definitely visit again. My wife doesn't eat pork and that is all the restaurant serves but she enjoyed her beans, rice, and quesadillas. A chicken or beef option would be good.
We're halfway through a month-long road trip in the Yucatan, and my husband and I agree this has been the best meal of the trip. Our family of three devoured a smoked meat platter and (huge) tamale and--highlight--had craft beer in the bottle! We've been in Valladolid for several days, and Carnes Concepcion has the best beer selection we've seen thus far in this region. Delightful surprise. The lunch was crazy affordable, service kind and patient with us as we practiced our Spanish, and we so loved everything we bought fresh homemade tortillas and sausage to go. Everyone was delighted, and we'll be driving out tomorrow to repeat.
Stopped here and got the combo meat platter that included three kinds of smoked meat and two types of sausage. It was so good it made me whimper. Don't goof around trying to figure out what to get just get the combo plate so you can try everything. Next time I'm in the area I'm going to stay at the attched hotel so I can eat there every meal for a couple of days.
We stopped here for lunch after visiting the nearby Ek Balam Archaeological site. Our kids were starving and this place did not disappoint. They brought us a HUGE platter of various smoked meats, tasty salsas and fresh tortillas. We almost ate it all! It was super inexpensive. The staff were friendly and it was definitely a popular stop for tourists, as well as locals.
