Stopped here while snowmobiling in the area. Not fancy, but clean and comfortable. Server was awesome, attentive and engaging. I had the Kenogami Queen burger, home made patty, great fries..Wife had the cheese burger with poutine, excellent as well. No room for dessert, so we got raisin butter tarts, chocolate macaroons and cinnamon pinwheels to go. All were excellent!! as a bonus for sledders they have fuel as well!!
Apparently, the hubby advised, they used to serve good food. He ordered poutine -- came out a half an hour later (cold). I waited another ten minutes to receive my roast beef sandwich. The menu boasted that the roast beef was cooked in-house. I had ordered a roast beef sandwich on brown bread with mustard. It finally came on some kind of bun (???) & I reaffirmed my order. The old girl apologized & brought the sandwich back 5 minutes later on brown bread. The chewy, rubbery roast beef was covered in BBQ sauce & mustard. Unfortunately not much of the meal was edible. We double tipped her knowing that we would never be back & she may not see too many customers in future. I might add that it was 2:00 p.m. & there was only one other couple in the restaurant, so, it was not a problem with being too busy. We think they may be under new management??? if that is what you call it.
Driving North and feeling ready for lunch pulled in here more in hope than expectation but we were wrong Despite going in in the midst of the lunch time rush we were quickly seated and orders taken The food arrived quickly and it was tasty hot and well presentedVery reasonably priced good quality food cheerfully served Be sure to take away a few of their Butter Tarts too they must be the best in Ontario as claimed Delicious
Friendly service, good food and fantastic butter tarts. Would eat here again for sure if going that way.
