Iron Works Grille Pub - Tellico Plains

We stopped here on the way home from visiting bald river falls. I had the cannonball burger double patties. It was good. Had a side salad with it. Fantastic. My mom had the pulled pork sandwich she wasn't fond of the barbecue sauce for it. Liked it otherwise. My daughter had chicken tenders with fries. She loved thatFood: 4/5

Iron Works Grille is a family favorite. We love the river side location and we always receive wonderful service and tasty food. It is kid friendly and they have a variety of beverage options (alcoholic and non-alcoholic). Stephanie is our favorite server. The hospitality industry needs more Stephanie’s. She makes you feel like you are a guest in her home. Make sure to check out this spot in beautiful Tellico Plains.Kid-friendliness: A small kid menu with only 3 options.

I really wanted to like this place so much so that we ended up going 2 days in a row. We live nearby and this place seemed so promising .Our first experience we were told we wouldn't be able to place a food order for at least half an hour after already seated. Our server was nice enough but we had 2 todlers with us and I know from working in restaurants you don't do that. Make people wait for the table, not for the food once their already seated. But once the food finally arrived it was tasty enough we decided to give them a second chance.The second time was even worse though. Our server was nice but way overworked with too many tables and we were kinda abandoned. They had one guy delivering food and we could see that he was also the one prepping much of the food. The food took just as long as the first time, and tasted fine but they forgot part of my order and still charged us for it.As I said, I really want to like this place. I rarely give bad reviews to anywhere but it's also rare we give a bad experience a second chance.

We stopped for lunch on a very rainy day. Service was great, food was tasty and the view was amazing right on the river.
