What User doesn't like about Meson El Porton:
typical family-run restaurant, very rare in this part of the city, a little scattered as furnishings, but genuine. good food, prices in my opinion definitely above average, if compared with similar dishes, but outside the areas of major tourism, especially if you invite customers to pay in cash to save on commissions. typical sweet very good. The situation a moment ago. It breaks my heart to have to write it. We came for a dinner to try tuna, octopus, shrimp and squid. When asked what we wanted to drink, we asked for squeezed juices or local specialties. The waiter said he didn 't have any. He has bottled water, cola and alcoholic drinks. We don 't drink alcohol. We thanked him and wanted to proceed to ordering. The waiter wanted to take the order, but I asked about the possibility of paying by card. Then he said: no drinks, no food it isn 't McDonald 's , took the menu and told us to leave. Humor ruined, but only for a moment. There are a lot of nice places with good food and in the off-season they are also very crowded. Customers should be treated equally and with respect. We were nice to you, my friend.
20/12/2023 El Porton in Costa Teguise, close to the center, offers authentic Spanish cuisine. Their amazing paella and knowledgeable owner make it a standout spot. Don't miss their complimentary homemade liqueur at the end of the meal—an extra touch to a fantastic dining experience near the heart of town.
This is such a gem of a restaurant. The owner/chef is very friendly and attentive, we had excellent service. The mixed paella that we had preordered was delicious, we will be back.
