Paetiki Bakery Cafe - Taupo

So far, everything I tried from the cake and sandwich section was amazing. seating area for these rainy days always a beautiful note on their local bakery

The best pie's in the world, and chocolate eclairs shaped like a donut have to be the best ever, five star are not enough

We stopped by to grab some food before heading down to Ruapehu. I wasn't planning on getting anything but saw that they had award-winning pies (Lam's Pies) so ended up getting one. I grabbed the creamy mushroom, bacon and cheese one. the party was nice and the filling was ok. I was expecting more of a medley of bacon and mushroom in the filling but it was a mushroom in a white sauce with a nice piece of bacon on top. It was nice and creamy and did have a nice flavour. they did have standard bakery items as well.

Went in today to get 2 mince and cheese pies to heat for dinner. Very disappointed to find after heating and taking the top off there wasn't a sign of any cheese. $11 for 2. Feeling ripped off. The lady who served me had to go out the back to get them. The bag they were put in was marked mince and cheese and not sealed

Award winning pies did not taste good, I can only imagine what kind of award they one........
