Contribute FeedbackDespite some positive experiences with the food and service, Twisted Oak seems to have consistent issues with slow, inattentive service, noise levels, and basic amenities such as bread. While the food itself receives high praise and the staff are friendly, improvements are needed to make the overall dining experience more enjoyable. Customers have reported long wait times, poor communication, and lackluster ambiance. However, loyal customers appreciate the quality of the food and innovative menu options, making Twisted Oak a preferred dining spot despite its shortcomings. While there is room for improvement, the unique flavors and locally-sourced ingredients continue to draw diners back for more.
The food was less than average. One of the salads was poorly washed and sandy . The lentil soup was nothing to write home about . Portions are small. The place is overpriced. We 've been going to The Twisted Oak for many years. We went recently there with our friends. The hostess asked for our reservation without saying Good Evening and refused to give us a table in a quiet room. The waiter was polite, but spoke with a such heavy accent that we could barely understand what he was saying.
We had a wonderful experience with our server Casandra. She provided excellent recommendations that were spot on. The chef's creativity and out-of-the-box thinking in crafting the menu made our dining experience loads of fun. Hats off to the chef!
Our experience at the restaurant was excellent! The staff was very helpful in ensuring we finished in time for our show. The food was delicious and fresh. We will definitely be returning in the future!
This used to be a favorite but the last 2 experiences have been extremely disappointing. Service took hours and the food was below mediocre. After waiting an hour for appetizers which were great, we should have stopped there. The duck was such poor quality I ate less than half, brussel sprouts were so salty they were inedible. So sad to have to cross this place off.
My favorite restaurant in Tarrytown is Twisted Oak. While it may be on the pricier side, every dish is worth it. They use locally sourced ingredients and offer innovative cooking. I have dined here multiple times and always look forward to my next visit.
