Vizcaya - Tampa

I visited Vizcaya at the Carrollwood location many times in the past and just dined at the new location on West Shore Blvd with a friend who had never been there. We were more than satisfied with the food, ambiance and service! I was hoping that a change of location would not change the quality of the food but it was not the case as they still have the same great chef! One of the best Spanish restaurants in Tampa Bay and can't wait to go back again!

Thank you Felix for bringing Vizcaya to the South Tampa Restaurant Scene. We had dinner there last week and the food and service were excellent. We can now enjoy the Vizcaya food experience without the long drive up Dale Mabry.

I was a fan when they were in Carrollwood. The menu is similar but the facilities are much more upscale in the new place. Food and service are still great. Prices are similar (they've never been inexpensive). The street is quite busy so getting in and out can be challenging. Still my favorite in Tampa for tapas.

Arrive 3 m before my reservation time , waited 25 m to get sat , keep in mind that when you make the reservation says they hold only for 5 m the table We sat 5 on a table that was already small for 4 people Right next to the kitchen Upstairs very very loud Food usually as good , service usual not great , atmosphere... too loud too small not good at all Extremely uncomfortable and stressed me out

Many of us are thrilled to see Vizcaya come to South Tampa. I often dined at the original location, and really enjoy the variety of tapas choices. The seafood entrees are fantastic, too ! My last visit was good delicious food and good service. I was quite surprised, however, with the VERY slow pace of the kitchen I appreciate it when I am not rushed with my meal, but this was the opposite. I have not encountered this on any other prior visit. I trust the pacing of service will improve as the staff becomes accustomed to their new place.
