Ordered the chicken schnitzel BLT along with the sweet spicy grilled cheese and some Mexican coke bottles. Was blown away by how good the food tasted! Decent prices as well. The pepper jelly on the grilled cheese was delicious and the chicken schnitzel condiments paired perfectly with the meat. Would give it an A+ personally! Highly recommend this place! The atmosphere was nice, but I was disappointed with both the food and wine, especially considering the high price of $67 for two sandwiches, a shared salad, and two glasses of rosé (before tip). The wine was too cold and needed time to warm up before I could truly taste the flavors. The service was fast, but one sandwich had to be sent back because the chicken was overcooked. The server was super friendly! She is nurse so I must wish her a happy nurse week. the menu is not the cheapest for me, although the ambiente is unbelievably and cozy/hidden. I'm glad I tried!
VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!We had family coming to town for a weekend visit and we were excited to take them out to The Girl and The Vine' yesterday as we are frequent guests there. Since we had a one year old baby with us, we asked for a table inside. The young female who was working as hostess at the entrance offered a table downstairs. While we were in the process of taking the baby in the stroller to the table, other guests took the table and we were told that there is no longer a table for us. The whole customer experience was very poor and actually embarrassing in front of our guests as the hostess was snappy after she recognized our disappointment with being told we have a table and then telling us we no longer have one. This was definitely the last time we will come to The Girls and The Vine'
THE place to go for wine in Takoma Park or DC. PERIOD. The pretzel, the schnitzel sandwich, the smoked trout dip, the cheeseburger. Amazingly personable and friendly service. In a pandemic. Saved my family for the past year; endlessly greteful.
A wine bar, restaurant, market, and deli. The Girl and the Vine has something for everyone. Great food offerings from vegan mushroom Ruben to full charcuterie, sandwiches and much more. They have a great wine selection by the glass and the bottle, and plenty of delicious beers as well. Outdoor and indoor bar seating, serves your comfort level. They have an outdoor fireplace too, and cozy blankets.
I used the girl the vine to my firm away day, and they were absolutely amazing! they had done everything early and they were so nice and helped to load everything into the car. their communication was also super easy and they always came back to me quickly. If I ever have another event in D.C, I will definitely come back! Many thanks again!
