Xiǎo Jù - Tainan

In a secluded alley, and a bit hard to find from outside, this restaurant has a cozy and comfortable atmosphere with open kitchen, decorated walls and several seating tables, all in a small room, but does not make it feel overcrowded. There is a lot to explore with your eyes on the walls and over the kitchen counter as you wait until food is served, and a bookcase near the stairs as well. Small warning to all that if you do not make reservations or arrive early, it could be out of seats when you arrive. I didn't come here an hour after opening and due to the smaller amount of space it had only one table or two left open until the end of the meal and it was still a little early. Eating wisely, I love the dressing used with the salad, and they are not stingy with the greens. Mexican chorizo can be a bit sharp for people with a delicate palate, but it is still very delicious. The bread served today was thick and harder to chew, it needed a bit of chewing or water to swallow, but it is very full. I've never seen such thick glasses used for a burger. Great enjoyed my first visit here, would recommend friends and would want to come for a second record. Excellent stuff, worth it.

The food looked so good at IG and they looked good too! I was a little disappointed when one of my egg yolks was fully cooked, but when I took a bite of chorizos, my disappointment disappeared. Will definitely go back to try the other articles. Everybody looked good!

A hidden gem! A small homely coffee shop/restaurant tucked away in a small alley off Shulin Street. FANTASTIC food. Had the Syrian Chicken from the special’s board. They’ve got so much great stuff on the menu, will have to come back here several times to sample it all!! It’s quiet, with an artistic and cool vibe the likes of which are very difficult to find in Tainan.
