First things first- Wangfu is a Chinese restaurant, but with influences from elsewhere in Asia and the West. The food is far from "authentic" Chinese, but for the price you are paying this is no reason for complaint. A Personal Set Meal (main course, unlimited rice, iced tea and miso soup) ranges in price from PHP198-PHP328 (roughly £3-£5), with the Salted Egg Fried Chicken being a particular hit. First, the good things. They have set meals for one. Priced reasonably to include, rice, dish, side salad and soup. And, the location is convenient. Then, the not so good. This restaurant has Chinese food advertised. But the soup in the set meal is miso. I think this is Japanese. The salad has vinaigrette. Certainly not Chinese. The meal I had was salted egg chicken. read moreWangFu Restaurant offers reasonably priced set meals, including rice, a dish, side salad, and soup. There are a variety of Chinese food options, as well as delicious salted egg dishes and unique drinks like AW Rootbeer float and Milo dinosaur. While the food received mixed reviews, with some dishes being too hard or delayed in serving, other items such as the seafood Laksa ramen were praised. The ambiance is great for family celebrations, and despite some shortcomings in the service and consistency of dishes, WangFu Restaurant is recommended for those looking to try something different this Christmas.
