Happy Teriyaki - Tacoma

I was unfortunately disappointed in my food. I got teriyaki chicken and fried rice with a spicy salmon roll and salmon poke. The chicken and rice plate had MAYBE 5 bites of each and my poke bowl was 65% lettuce (I ordered the rice one) and the salmon still had the silver skin on it and was mushy.

We've ordered here dozens of times. Food is always good, quick, consistent. Service is always very friendly and has never messed up an order (despite the occasional mix up on our own end, they clarify to get it right). The atmosphere isn't fine dining, but they're a to-go kinda place, so can't really expect anything grand; nonetheless it's always clean in and outside.

Great staff, great food, great service (i always order 2 mongolian beef with brown rice. I will sometimes throw in a dragon roll or order 1 mongolian beef 1 shrimp fried rice). I remember when this location close briefly due to a fire a few years ago during the summer. Was really happy to see it opened again hope this place stays open for a long time!

Delicious Teriyaki! Not only is the food good the staff and atmosphere of the restaurant is as well. I made a to go order it was my 2nd time eating from Happy Teriyaki #4 and when I went to pick up my food my child fell asleep in the car. As I walk in the restaurant with my kid over my shoulder to pick up my food the staff offered to help me carry my food to the car which was so extremely nice and helpful. Will definitely return

I had the spicy chicken lunch special. The sauce was really good and had a nice kick to it, the chicken itself was okay- kind of dry. The rice was also a tad dry. This dish comes with a side of veggies but it was mostly cabbage. The veggies were good dipped in the sauce.
