How refreshing to have the whole menu to choose from when you can't eat gluten! The food looked fresh and tasted great, and we thought the value for money was pretty good. They also claim that the ingredients are locally and ethically sourced', which is...worth a good deal in my book. Highly recommended. View all feedback.
What Abel Grimes doesn't like about Thr1ve:
I ordered sweet potato waffles with scrambled eggs and chives and I doubt was any sweet potato even in the waffles. It was dry and boring tasted like stale bread. The eggs wow, didn't even have chives and tasted bland worst eggs I've ever had,...I feel like I bought something and I dropped it on the ground that's the level of my disappointment! We checked out Thrive for the Buddha bowl recently and found it a great choice when you're not feeling like a meat dish. There's heaps of other great options on the menu too, and all are relatively healthy and inexpensive.
Fairly expensive for what you get, it definitely tastes both fresh and healthy, however, after buying lunch here my wallet was the one who definitely lost weight and not me.
This place has honestly surprised me. Yes, it's expensive. And yes, it's healthy. But Daaaaamn is fine! I could eat one of your lunch every day. My go is the pesto chicken on a bed of actual cabbage salad with a delicious serving of Guac and sweet potato meshes with bacon pieces. Thank you the Lords That's Healthy!
I've been to the location in Pitt street mall before and tried this one when in the city for a shop in the MLC centre. Rated highly for fresh and healthy food with a huge variety. Also service was quick which is essential in this food court, being in a business district. It is a health food store that has vegan, vegetarian and gluten free and dairy free options. They have breakfast bowls, fritters, paleo pancakes, and a breakfast bun in the morning. For lunch and dinner they have a variety of bowls to choose from. I got the Zeus bowl again (kaleslaw with bbq sauce, sweet potato and a soft boiled egg) and also the southern soul - slow roasted pulled beef, smokey bbq sauce on wild and brown rice and kaleslaw. You can also do build your own options. I also like that you can add your own sauces, jalepenos, chilli etc. They do sell coffees including an interesting turmeric latte, smoothies (which can also be customised). I got the salted caramel; dates, sea salt, house made cashew butter, butter, chia seeds and regular milk - you can get it with almond milk, skim or soy. Nice healthy place and good service provided. aroundtheclockfoodie.com
