Others have expressed disappointment with certain aspects, such as tough steak, poor service, and lack of atmosphere. The prices have also been a point of concern for some patrons. However, many have highlighted the exceptional service provided by the staff, with one customer even receiving a complimentary cake after a service mishap. Overall, Hurricane's Circular Quay seems to have its strengths and weaknesses, but the consistent quality of the food and attentive service make it a popular choice for many diners.
The staff were extremely helpful and took our order quick! Our starters came out in no time and so did our ribs! Food was superb and staff were ever so helpful!
We were really excited to go here for a meal, but sadly this soon fizzled out with the below standard service and over price and average tasting food. Twice we asked for a straw for my daughter's drink, I eventually got one from the bar...after waiting 10 minutes. We asked for a clean napkins from two different waiters, as our fingers were messy from the wings and eventually used my daughter face wipes the final straw was asking three wait staff for cutlery which we eventually got after a seven minute wait causing our food to get cold which was sad as it was nicely presented. Think they need to train their staff!!!
We had one superb meal here, and another not quite so good. Overall it’s decent and if you can get a window seat then the view is good.
You suspect you’re in the wrong place when the opening offering is rancid butter with bread. It deteriorated further after butter was replaced with a similarly compromised offering, and a lack of serving staff recognition there is something wrong??!!
My husband and I decided to go have a light late dinner on Saturday night. We were staying at the Shangri-La Hotel and were not entirely sure what would be open at nearly 10pm at night. As we were walking the weather quickly turned wild...as it began to pour. I spotted a set of escalators which lead us discovering the Hurricane’s Grill Circular Quay Restaurant inside amongst many other restaurants that had closed for the night. We thought we would test our luck and see if they were still serving food considering they were closing at 10pm. The waitress welcomed us and explained it was last orders before the kitchen closed. We ordered an entree platter, southern fried calamari and for dessert we had a crème brûlée and vanilla icecream with chocolate sauce. The food was fresh and delicious and and we truely couldn’t fault the service. We felt welcomed and it did not feel like they were rushing you out the door. We are so glad wet weather made us discover this late night option in the heart of circular quay.
