The food at Grill Republic was so tasty! The meat was tender and juicy. The spinach salad was very flavoursome. The baclava was very authentic. We had the journey sampler and it was such a great deal. Will come back : View all feedback.
Awesome food, served healthily. We enjoyed the variety and presentation. Loved the pickles ! Good Baclava. Recommended.
I really like this place. Clean and tidy, cooked in front of you while you wait. Simple, but always tasty and filling.
I'm afraid to say that in 2017 a new restaurant should not be serving food as bland and simple as this. It is a symptom of the problem in Sydney that keeps it in the shadow of Melbourne and Auckland. I've eaten here twice now and both Turkish sandwiches were really bland. The amount of bread overwhelms everything inside it but even then the fillings are not even what I would expect from a cuisine that should be power-packed with flavour. For example, the falafel comes with hummus and gherkins. The theory is ok but the execution is very poor. I believe that new restaurants should be elevating food (especially at $13 per sandwich) and this is what the likes of Encasa do. In this instance you get gherkins from a jar instead of home made pickle, bog standard hummus instead of something that maybe has lemon or harissa, bland falafel that lacks the spices that bring it alive, and then no herbs such as mint, coriander or parsley. The lamb sandwich is much the same. Very bland and forgettable. This kind of food was acceptable 15 years ago but the world has moved on. Unfortunately Sydney is playing catch up.
Fresh food. Well made. Nice interior. I had a boring #10 street roll with chicken. Warm roll, tender chicken thigh, tasty sauce. $12 Pretty good price.
Have been meaning to stop by this place since it opened and finally got to on Friday night.
