No Power! The owner was incredible in a time of great need in Cape Breton! The need was his and his partners as well as there was no power etc. due to Matthew! Everyone lost financially, but that didn't matter when it was so difficult to have any usual comforts! As fellow human beings---they restored all our faith in people. Above and beyond! What Xander Ernser doesn't like about Bras D'Or View Restaurant and Pizzeria:
This restaurant was wonderful and then it was taken over by new management and I would not eat there again. There have been a lot of things said about it and I'm no sure if it's a place of encourage people to go? Check it out for yourself and see. View all feedback.
The food at this restaurant is fantastic and the service is exceptional. I highly recommend it for a delicious homecooked meal served with a friendly smile!
The restaurant offers excellent food, value, and service with a beautiful view. The menu has a great selection of dishes and the staff is very accommodating to children.
This restaurant seems to have a bit of an identity crisis, offering both traditional Canadian fare and Chinese dishes. I was not impressed with my experience here as I ordered a Chinese stir-fry and was extremely disappointed. The vegetables were undercooked, the chicken tasted canned, and the overall dish lacked flavor. The sauce was watery and lacked any garlic flavor.
We actually are staying at this inn tonight and had dinner here after checking in. The food was amazing - homemade turkey vegetable soup was incredible and the chef's salad was huge. Haddock was the special tonight and the fish was thick, well seasoned and cooked to perfection. We would highly recommend this restaurant - we will return for breakfast in the morn!
The restaurant and washrooms were clean, and the waitress was friendly. But, our meal was far from great. The French fries were very greasy and soggy. I'm not sure if the oil was not hot enough or is they had been fried earlier and sat under a heat lamp. My chicken Caesar wrap had a lack of dressing and so it was quite bland. One of us ordered Chinese from the menu and the rice was VERY oily, and a large amount of soy sauce had been added. It certainly didn't appear fried, despite the menu description. The chow mein was grey and very oily too. It looked slimy and not at all appetizing. I wouldn't recommend ordering any of the Chinese food items if you like Chinese or know what it should taste like. Of the five of us, we all gave the meal a rating of 5-6/10.
