visited between christmas and new year. when visiting the gower and wandering we have passed on this precious stone on the way. the place was heaving, but we were quickly offered a table. my partner decided to sit outside as he had to travel in the next days. we ordered us at the counter and received our drinks almost before I sat down again. our eating came quite quickly into consideration how busy they were. beauti... What R7586VPlizh doesn't like about The King Arthur:
First problem dog UNfriendly, despite having three separate areas all with hard floors. Ok I accept that not everyone likes dogs but they could easily restrict them to one area. But what topped it off was the barman getting the order wrong and then blaming me. He was surly enough without that. Acts as though it has a good reputation and has to do nothing whatsoever to maintain it View all feedback.
Sunday dinner was simply beautiful. We all had lamb which didn’t come with a Yorkshire pudding but we simply asked and we did receive! Pudding was also lovely. Would happily return.

My dog Bertie and I have just spent a lovely weekend at the King Arthur in one of the dog friendly cottages. Dogs aren’t allowed inside the hotel but the restaurant cooked and delivered to me a perfect steak. The location was ideal and the cottage was clean and cosy. We will definitely be back.
Although regular customers for food this was the first time we'd had an overnight stay. It was a Christmas present for my wife and we both had a brilliant time. The annexe room was excellent, modern and spotless. The evening meal was the standard we've come to expect from The King Arthur, outstanding. But what makes The King Arthur that extra bit special is undoubtedly the staff. They combine professionalism perfectly with friendliness. The staff are King Arthur's best asset.
Fantastic venue and amazing food Brilliant prices and great staff We were very impressed Recommend to all We had the Stilton and mushroom pie, lasagne and Childs sausages, all superb. We saw the fish and chips on another table, huge! Great wine list Cosy atmosphere The type of pub you would love as your local!
