What Amrit kaur doesn't like about Tapri Indian Grill:
Lovely decor, but this place was let down by the food. Lamp chops were fatty, dry and grey and not the usual chops served with mixed grill. The mixed veg curry was made using frozen veg and not Indian at all, more so with a runny tomato sauce. The chicken wings were so small as was the tikka. I won't be returning here. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £50–60 View all feedback.
Big party (20) booked in advance for friends birthday. No table service we all had to queue up at the bar and pay separately. A friend explained to staff that this was fine however we all wished to be served at the same time. A complete DISASTER! I ordered with a friend and we planned to share rice and naan. My food came out 15 minutes after her's. By which time rice and naan was cold. My dish was nice and hot but others complained that their food was way too spicy. The bottom end of the table was still eating and had only just received their food by the time a few of us had to leave. Management were apologetic but the night was spoiled and we will not be rushing back to dine there again. The place was not busy at all so cannot see this restaurant lasting in 2024 amid the cost of living crisis. Would not recommend.

Amazing food, great service and lovely staff one of the best indian joints in Birmingham. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Large Mixed Grill Platter, Chicken Biriyani
Firstly I must state the food was very tasty, however there is a but, when ordering I asked if u could have a chicken and lamb madras but they stated they can’t mix meats , I then asked if I could have a cheese keema Nan instead of cheese chilli, again they said I must stick to the menu . In most grills/restaurants a chef will accommodate what you ask for. 3 stars could be 5 , Saturday night was empty , I wonder why this is ?? Food: 3
