I visited the red lion yesterday with my man and two young children. Although we have lived for years before place, we have never tried to think the pub when it was child-friendly and if a buggy in would be convenient, but to my amazement the place is amazing, especially when they go into the private area on the back next to the beautiful garden. we had our own Wee room as he was during a pretty time. a special menti... Since the pub re-opened after the long closure the management and bar staff are extremely unhelpful and rude. They seem to have forgotten about their regular customers and people who have given them business for the best part of 5 years in favour of large groups of rowdy males. Nicely set out with a spacious garden. Sport on the screens, if that’s your thing. Sadly no real ales.
I been here only a few times in my life as my local and its always been a great pub with good locals and good food. Maybe a bit too small but overall a good place to go if your in town.
