I was introduced to this restaurant a few years ago by family. I remember it being very good. So on this visit to White Rock I decided to find this restaurant again. I wasn't disappointed. What User doesn't like about Hanaya Japanese:
I used to eat here very frequently. I was excited to see they have a roll called "Vegan Roll" which has yam tempura in it. I was told numerous times that the tempura batter was completely vegan. HOWEVER I recently found out that there is EGG in the batter!! I called them to confirm this and after telling them this is NOT OK they assured me they will be changing the name. Food and staff was great! Affordable and delicious. Will definitely be coming back here. Atmosphere is great and lots of orders for pickup/delivery going out. Very popular place and I now know why
That’s my second time ordering food from this restaurant. Their sushi is delicious (I’m very impressed with everything that I tried), the staff is very attentive. I had a little problem with my order and their staff were very fast and careful to solve it. I just ordered through Uber eats, but I will for sure to have a meal inside next time!
Tucked in a little corner in South Surrey is a wonderful Japanese restaurant called Hanaya. The restaurant is easily missed as you travel down King George but it is worth your time to go and have a meal inside. The staff are attentive and quick to respond to service calls. The atmosphere is also unique with the cherry blossoms and customer pictures adorning the Japanese interior design. The food was also very impressive and exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend you visit this gem.
Ordered at 11am on UberEATS. Didn 't get my order till 12:50pm...nearly 2 hours later. It was way past the Latest Arrival time for Uber. Not sure if this is a problem with the restaurant not having the order made or Uber Eats not having drivers.I ordered 6 sushi rolls and they were very average. Good portion size but most of it was rice. The biggest problem is the rice was very hard...either they didn 't use enough water while cooking it or it 's rice from the previous night.Overall disappointed and.would not recommend this place.
