I always return to shaka taco every time I visit topsail. it is consistently delicious! my favorites are the fish tacos, coconut rice, asian shiny and the taco bowls. it is fresh, seasoned and portioned are perfect. the waiting staff is friendly and efficient. the atmosphere is fun and always a fast moving line. I have the veggie tacos without cream, and the portions were huge, definitiw enough to at least for another taco.
We had the veggie tacos without crema. they were fantastic! I thought there could be too many paprika, but it was so delish. I tested the ananasquac, which was in order.

There is only a vegan taco option and it is the veggie that comes with rice, buzz, paprika, mais and avocado. they have to ask to keep the sawn sauce. it was a solid taco and is one of the better vegan options / just vegan options on the island topsail. the service was great. the waiter brought our dogs water to the terrace while we eat and checked quite constantly. would definitely recommend and go back.
I really enjoyed my meal here. While there are limited options exclusively for vegans, you are easily able to modify any of the selections to fit your needs. When I asked if I could make a taco vegan, my server was able to look at a list with all of the allergens and confirm that I was able to eat the specific menu item. The coconut rice is quite good, and the chips are a must have to combine with the good eats. Would definitely eat here again.
