What Jagdish Kota doesn't like about Royal Treat:
I book my birthday party for my son . On 15 march evening 6.30 to 8.30 I came with my all guest for party there is no power at restaurant we r standing outside the restaurant and waiting for power they don't have even genrater . View all feedback.
It is very small restaurant , but nice place for family. I didn't know about it, found on foodsome and visited it first time.. previously another restaurant was there at this place. I would have given better ratings but one thing I didn't like is that they charge 10% service charge apart from service tax, service charge should not be mandatory and govt also announced that it should not be charged, then why do they do so? Food taste : 3.5/5 (We had Jain food, which was tasty) Variety in menu : 3.5/5 Ambiance : 3.5/5 Service : 3/5 (for which even 10% extra charge we need to pay) After I told them they should not charge service charge, they told me that as I used coupon , they have to charge service charge. This was the ridiculous answer, he was behaving that we have been serviced for free. Foodsome is also charging 600/- for membership and if restaurant is talking such way, I won't use foodsome even next yr. Purpose of restaurant of giving deals on foodsome is... read more

Purpose of restaurant of giving deals on foodsome is for marketing of restaurant and if they do so, y would someone come there again? I would not go there again due to their hospitality.
Visited this "Modified" State of Gujarat in Surat after 5-6 yrs to celebrate Utaran in true Surti-Style with Family Friends!!! I had already filled my Tummy & Soul with Undhiyu-Puri and all Surti Specialities like Khaman, Sev-Khamani, Locho and what not....so was totally done with Gujarati Cuisine. 1 of our Close Friend took us to this Restaurant Specially try their on going festival of Sarson Da Saag and Makke Di Roti which we happily accepted it as we were craving for some North Indian Food. We were Welcomed with Big Smile and the place looked small but very neatly maintained. As we seated we ordered Manchow Soup and some Starters. Manchow Soup came in no time and it had Perfect Balance of Flavours, accompanied with fried Noodles which was Crispy till last Sip of your Soup!!! Next was Paneer Kurkuri in starters which was Soft Paneer Fingers lightly seasoned & coated with crushed Papad and deep fried, Served with some Sauce. I loved it's simplicity and never had this combination of soft & crisp before so totally worth trying it!!! Another Starter was 1 of the Best Starter's I have had in recent past....I'm really sorry that I forgot its name but it was like Karanji Shaped deep fried Dumplings filled with Spinach and Cheese. One cannot afford to miss on this and it totally pleased my taste buds:):):) Then we ordered Sarson Da Saag Makke Di Roti, our very own Paneer Butter Masala and Black Dal. Sarson Da Saag looked very inviting densely green and finished with Butter. I was just waiting to be served to dig in. Everything came piping hot as I helped myself with the saag and roti I couldn't stop myself indulging and instantly asked for another repeat of Makke ki Roti as I don't wanted any break from this mouth watering , finger-licking, beautiful journey which transported me from Gujarat to Punjab in no time:):):):):) Even the Paneer B. Masala was good but the STAR was the "SAAG". I don't know how Authentic it was but it was truly a delight!!! The only thing in my whole Meal which disappointed me was their Black Dal....it was nowhere what is generally expected....Maybe its their way of doing it but not to my liking. It was black dal mixed with some other dal with big strands of kasuri methi in it....actually a disaster to be honest!! So I hope the management gets their Dal right as their counterparts:) Lastly we finished with Masala Chaas to digest all this goodness :):):) I also came to know that they don't use any Artificial Food Colours and Flavours so Brownie Points for the same:):):):):)To end with they serve Fresh Green Sauf or Fennel Seeds in small bunch form(the way they grow) along with regular dry sauf which I found really interesting and new in concept as I haven't seen this in any Fine-Dine Restaurant!!! Surat is a Foodie's Land and You are literally spoilt for choices but this place definitely stands out and a must visit when in Surat!!!
