The Halal Guys - Sunnyvale

Came in an hour before closingFood was okay, but the cheesecake they gave me was expired by 3/4 days and absolutely disgusting

I'm very fortunate that we have this Halal Guys close to us. My fiance and I always come to this location late in the evening around 8 or 9pm and they always have the best quality ingredients. The rice is always cooked perfect, the tomatoes and lettuce taste fresh, and the chicken is super tender and delicious. I've had Halal Guys from another location in South San Jose and it was terrible compared to this one. The chicken was dry, the rice wasn't fully cooked, and the veggies were a bit more wilted. I definitely will not take for granted what we have here.

We just ordered lunch from here today vus door dash. I got a combo sandwich and it was dry. We all order a sandwiches and because the way the menu reads the topping and sauces come automatically..THEY DON'T! The menu should have said the ALL sandwiches come with meat, lettuce and tomatoes only, anything else is an extra charge.

I really enjoy the food here, but the displayed prices are almost never what I actually pay. The platter is always quite filling and I really like the lamb. Other than the issue with prices, an underrated place in my opinion.

I could see on the board that regular is 13.99 but I was forced to pay 16.99+ tax for the regular chicken/ lamb platter.Update: after checking on Yelp I realized that prices were probably changed. Wow that's a huge increase and also it would be nice if folks helping me with the order were able to answer that when I asked.
