I dine here at least once a week it's that good. There are many things to recommend for lunch, so try lots of different things.Staff are good, but to the point. Appreciate the fact you're in a fast moving restaurant and the food sells itself.Try a lemon ice tea - amazing and refreshing in this summer heat. I ask for mine with 1/2 sugar, but that's my taste.Value for money and nice to sink into culture. View all feedback.
What Bethany eklic doesn't like about Little Singapore:
By far the WORST customer service and dining experience I have ever had. The one woman serving (wouldn’t even call it that) should be out of a job and should never be allowed to work in customer service again. We would ask a question which would be ignored, I saw her spilling food on customers, she would drop the plates of food on your belongings and was just plain RUDE.
At one stage she went to the kitchen and was... View all feedback.
Quite busy, even midweek. Tables packed quite closely together. Service was prompt, food arrived quickly. Everything was fresh and tasted good. Nothing remarkable and very reasonably priced. Would probably try takeaway next time.
First time using Zomato. Search for the Singapore restaurant cause my friend came from Singapore , she miss the food so much. We ordered the Bak Kut Teh, was bit salty and the meat was hard. But still let her feels some taste of home.
Generous servings and pretty tasty foods. Heavy on the oil and customer service is terrible. You can expect your meal to be prepared anywhere from 10-45mins.
Reunited with some friends on a Sunday night - we decided to catch up at Little Singapore. Situated on the Southside, in the well-known Market Square complex is Little Singapore. The establishment serves up Singaporean/Malaysian dishes as well as Asian beverages including bubble teas and milk teas. Making my arrival at 7:30 pm, it is almost guaranteed (everynight) the complex will be packed with hungry diners (FYI: Parking is an absolute frustration). I make my way to the entrance of the restaurant and one of the staff greets and offers me a table inside. The menu is vast (in my opinion), so many choices. I pondered between 3 dishes, Hainan Chicken Rice, Combination Laksa and the Hokkien Noodles. It's been quite a while since I visited the eatery, as I was eyeing other tables around the Hainan Chicken Rice seems to be a popular one. We finally decided to order the Combination Laksa and the Hainan Chicken Rice to share. It didn't take long for the restaurant to become full house. The queue of people waiting for tables outside just kept getting longer and longer. Around 15-20mins later, the two dishes were presented on the table. Food - Starting off with the Combination Laksa. Consisting of Egg Noodles, Vermicelli, Dried Tofus, Bean sprouts, Prawns, Fish Cakes, Squid, and Eggplant. The soup was flavorful with hints of spiciness. If coconut milk was part of the soup base, the rating would definitely be bumped up! (Although coconut milk offers a tasty aroma, unfortunately not all eateries have that inclusion). The second dish was the Hainan Chicken Rice accompanied with rice and soup on the side. A good amount of chicken was plated with bean sprouts presented underneath. The chicken was soft and tender (more meat than fat which is always a -thumbs up- for me!) The sliced cucumbers on the side were crunchy and added a refreshing touch to the meal. Rice was marinated with vegetable/chicken oil (can't really remember which one) and nicely cooked. The soup was a letdown, given only half a bowl and hardly contained any flavor. Despite that, a nice dining experience overall.
