Temperance is a great local place to meet with friends for a drink and light snacks, or pre or post dinner drinks. It is very popular and gets very busy so sometimes finding somewhere to sit can be tricky but if you are prepared to be patient you'll usually find a seat. Good wine list and spirits available. What User doesn't like about The Temperance Society:
Looks good 'on paper', but in reality, on the night that we visited we were confronted with a space that was overly crowded, deafeningly noisy and with service a challenge to come by. We left after 30mins having not managed to score a seat, a drink, or a complete sentence of conversation with our companions. View all feedback.
Great Service, food and cocktails. Nice range of craft beers. An Inner-west gem with loads of character. Little rooms for small groups and courtyard out the back. Great atmosphere. Highly recommend.
Perfect for a Sunday afternoon drink or a late Friday catch up with your girlfriend. I had my baby shower hosted there and couldn’t have asked for a more perfect, quaint spot. Love the food, the staff and got a decent wine selection too!

This restaurant is a perfect spot to gather with friends. The bar has a laid-back, welcoming vibe with fantastic music. The menu offers a wide range of tasty dishes. Our group of six enjoyed sharing multiple plates, with the moussaka being a standout favorite. We ended the meal with delicious Loukoumades. The service was top-notch and we had a wonderful evening overall. We look forward to returning in the future.
I was introduced to the Rio by a good friend who i have been there with a few times now. Yes the drinks are pricey but you don't get all the choices you get there elsewhere. Friendly staff and great atmosphere I'll definately come back
