Not easy to find Dhud Padhi but these guys got it. Very good. Saffron chai is basically the same but with the addition of saffron obviously. I've bad better saffron chais but Dhud padhi is my go to here. Will come View all feedback.
What Asif Momin doesn't like about Austin Chai Wala:
Tried Anda Paratha with Masala Chai. While the paratha seemed packaged, the omelette served with it was one of the best, I’ve had in a while. Absolutely worth trying. View all feedback.
2.15 for a tiny bottle of water ! Rest you can imagine … terrible… I won’t recommend this place .
Bun kabab (skip the ketchup) ?Kashmiri chai ?Austin chai wala at Moosa Colony Food Trucks became the seventh stop on our Houston food tour. Ahsan, the owner, greeted us with wonderful hospitality. We decided to try the traditional bun kabab, which features a beef shami kabab wrapped in egg batter and shallow-fried, accompanied by chutney, tomatoes, and onions. While we enjoyed the shami kabab and its accompaniments, the unexpected addition of ketchup was a surprise, as it's not part of the traditional Karachi bun kabab recipe. If I had known, I would have requested to omit the ketchup. We also had the Kashmiri chai which was pretty good.Beyond the ketchup mishap, the shami kabab itself tasted quite good. I'm willing to give Austin Chai Wala another chance in the future, but this time without the ketchup. This is part of the lively and electric atmosphere at Moosa Colony Food Trucks, making it a fun spot to enjoy late into the night.
Try a spicy burger. It is simply full of local Karachi taste. You must try it if you are visiting the Moosa colony.
